World Chess Champion Magnus Carlsen tops the field for the Skilling Open, the 1st event on the $1.5 million Champions Chess Tour. The 16-player field will be cut to 8 players in a single round-robin on the first 3 days, before the remaining participants play a 6-day knockout. The prize fund is $100,000, with a $30,000 top prize.
All games are played online on the chess24 Playzone. Each knockout match is played over two days, with two 4-game rapid matches at a time control of 15 minutes for all moves and a 10-second increment from move 1. If the matches end 1:1, two 5+3 games will be played, followed, if necessary, by Armageddon, where White has 5 minutes to Black's 4, but a draw counts as a win for Black. White Pawn d4-d5 could be an option to make a breathing room for the king, as Black don't have the dark square bishop...

I don’t know if it’s your English or your analysis but your videos are getting increasingly sloppy with time. There is always a blaring error in position (black or white), piece or color. Still great info, just very inaccurate commentary.

Very good commentary as always:D hey I just had an idea because you always say: „now we have a completely new game“. There must be multiple games that were played the exact same way in pro play right? Is there a most played game ever in pro play? Like the most played variation until checkmate? Could be a funny video idea but I don’t know if there is a way to check for such games. Cheers!
