agadmator's Chess Channel, at 6:50 you asked for best move for the white, and after few seconds you recommend best move from rock h6 to g5, but there is also option rock g1 to g7 and and you forcing black king to eat that rock, because no other choice, then white queen coming from d2 to g5. Black can only protect checkmate with his queen on g6 but its over anyway. Right ?????

    David SteinΠριν μήνα

At the point where agadmator pauses the video: why not rook>g7 taking the pawn with check? Black is forced, he must capture the rook with his king. Then white plays Q>g5 which is check. Black is forced again, he must interpose his queen. Then white queen takes queen on g6 and that's mate. The pin remains paramount because black can't recapture the queen. Right?? Am I missing something? Looks to me like forced mate in three.

7:00 I had 1. Qg5 in mind, threatening mate on g7 while unpinning the d3 pawn. And I honestly don't see how black can prevent checkmate. The pin proves deadly until the bitter end since neither 1...Qg6 nor 1...g6 prevent checkmate. The best defense seems to be 1...Qe1 + with the idea of unpinning the g7 pawn but after 2. Rxe1 gxh6 3.Qxh6 there is no defense against Rg1 checkmate

(6:38) After Queen takes knight on e4, the best move would be simply rook to g7. King takes rook and then queen to g5 would be checkmate. Black can delay checkmate by one more move with Qg6, but white's queen can simply capture black's queen as once again "pin is mightier than the sword"

Agad already addressed that. Theres no forced mate. What prevents black's queen from just blocking the check? Rxg7-Kxg7, Qg6-Qg7! You're forgetting there's no longer a pin on the black king since he already moved it by taking the rook on g7.

I see black checking the whiteking with the queen 3times (on e1, e2, d1) until king reaches a3 followed up with bishopC5 and white will just block and end it off with a b4 pawn.
