@7:00 Wouldn't it be better to move the rock G1 to G7? King is forced to take and White Queen can just go G5, forcing Black Queen to block G6 and getting murdered by White Queen that won't get taken by the pinned pawn.

So the second Pause the Video Moment at 6:45, wouldn’t it be better to go Rg7, only move for black is Kg7 then you go Qg5. Black can’t get really block with Qg6 since that pesky bishop is holding the F pawn.

Black can only protect checkmate with his queen on g6 but its over anyway. Right ?????

At the point where agadmator pauses the video: why not rook>g7 taking the pawn with check? Black is forced, he must capture the rook with his king. Then white plays Q>g5 which is check. Black is forced again, he must interpose his queen. Then white queen takes queen on g6 and that's mate. The pin remains paramount because black can't recapture the queen. Right?? Am I missing something? Looks to me like forced mate in three.

7:00 I had 1. Qg5 in mind, threatening mate on g7 while unpinning the d3 pawn.And I honestly don't see how black can prevent checkmate. The pin proves deadly until the bitter end since neither 1...Qg6 nor 1...g6 prevent checkmate. The best defense seems to be 1...Qe1 + with the idea of unpinning the g7 pawn but after 2. Rxe1 gxh6 3.Qxh6 there is no defense against Rg1 checkmate

Noob question: 6:56 How is Qg5 not the winning move for white? I see black checking the whiteking with the queen 3times (on e1, e2, d1) until king reaches a3 followed up with bishopC5 and white will just block and end it off with a b4 pawn. After that, the mate in g-file still persists and black wont be able to stop it. Or my brain missed something stupid about Qg5?
