World Chess Champion Magnus Carlsen tops the field for the Airthings Masters, the 2nd stage of the Champions Chess Tour. The 12-player event will be played online on chess24 from December 26th to January 3rd and, as the first Major of the tour, features a $200,000 prize fund with $60,000 for 1st place. The winner also qualifies directly to the Grand Final in September 2021.
The tournament starts with a 3-day preliminary stage where the players play each other once before the top 8 go forward to a knockout. The time control is 15 minutes for all moves, with a 10-second increment from move 1. No draw offers are allowed before move 40. Official website: championschesstour.com

I don't understand what is a shame in Magnus crushing creative players. He does so because he understands their creativity and tries to undermine it. He just tries to win and I don't think that's a shame.

Can anyone explain how giving up a pawn is the best move? And why Dubov declined? He went from up a pawn to down a pawn, willingly. Why??

16:14 It's not just that we're enjoying it so much, some of us are a bit slower. For example, it took me a second or two to figure out why you can't escape perpetual check at 13:20 by moving to H1 (well, you can, it's no longer perpetual once you're there 😄)
Robert JΠριν 26 ημέρες
@Natanael Aritonang As I said, it's no longer perpetual check once you're there.

15:00 can someone explain why dubov didn’t take the knight? Wouldn’t that have a better chance of drawing? Or is it just because the pawn was too far down the board?
Grant BeanΠριν 28 ημέρες
Then he loses his knight to the rook which controls the f file with Dubov's king on the wrong side. Game over.
31 Mukund Agrawal XAΠριν 28 ημέρες
Because when you take the knight , Magnus will take dubov's knight with the rook which will cut the king's route to move towards the pawn
